Default Dealership damage in north ga

Thanks for all the pm's concerning the tornado that hit Ringgold Ga.

the dealership was hit pretty hard. I have changed my facebook page to open status, so pics of the damage can be seen by all. this happened last night around 9:30 so no one was at the store, so we had no employees hurt, but if this had happened during hours, we would have had some serious injury. our fast-lane building, the dds building, and another metal building are gone. the roof of the used car building is gone and 75% of the cars have windows broken. and I would bet 95% are damaged in some way. fema is in charge, and like you have heard before, we are from the government and we are here to help...

the facebook link is http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1188841456

fema will not let any owners in but I have a parts manager who is a fireman and he has an extra set of turn out gear so I can come and go as needed... I am on task force four, if any body asks...

Just saw some daylight photos of this damage very very severe. Glad to hear that you and your employee's and they families are not injured. Also that Chrysler is coming in to help your dealership with a generator for power. And your Parts Manager is a great man helping to get you inside ground zero and check on your livelihood. Thoughts and prayers to your community.

No one outside the car biz can feel the pain, and anxiety, that you are feeling about your business, but it will get better. Car people must be able to endure a lot.

Main thing is that you, and your people ar ok. I hope your home is ok as well.

I have never seen devastation like this in my 46 years...

We have seen an outpouring of help and support today from non profit volunteer agency's such as first responder America. words can not express what they came in and did for us for free...

Default Wow, sorry to hear about the devastation

ssdd - I was away from the Internet for most of last week and I'm reading this thread for the first time.

Like the others I'm sorry to hear about the devastation and thankful that no one was hurt. I don't have a FB account so I'll have to figure out some other solution to view the pictures.

I think it's awesome your Parts Manager has figured out a way for you to get to your store and survey the damage.

I also think it's awesome that Fred Diaz and the local Business Center have expressed their concerns and more importantly taken action to help get your business operational. It's no secret I've been an outspoken critic of many of Chrysler's decisions as they relate to their dealers but I have to commend Fred Diaz - sending an industrial generator to help a dealer in distress shows a lot of class.

Best of luck as you move forward and I'll be keeping you and your community in my thoughts and prayers.

SGS showed up yesterday to do our second quarter inspection... even after us telling the business center that we where closed... I am not even sure how they got through the police line to get in here... needless to say they left sheepishly...

I just stood there in my soiled sweaty clothes and said REALLY? just WOW...
the SGS person said "typical Chrysler" so it is not just us guys...

Did they deduct points for "unprofessional dress"?

That's incredible. I know Chrysler's a big company and sometimes the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing but it's still kind of ironic that a company so focused on processes doesn't have many of them.
